Welcome to the Rowing Race Calculator, a specialized tool designed to calculate accurate age and sex-based handicaps for masters rowing competitions. This calculator implements the official handicapping systems used in competitive rowing, helping race organizers create fair competitions across different age groups and categories.

This calculator is developed and maintained by VinTech AS as a free service to the rowing community worldwide. While it's a company production, we're committed to offering it without charge to anyone interested in the sport of rowing.
Handicapping systems
The calculator supports the official British and Nordic tables, plus our own continuous Nordic variant:
British system
Based on British Rowing's official handicapping tables from theirRules of Racing 2021. This system is widely used in international competitions.
Nordic system
Official Nordic masters tables: one ideal time per age-class letter, as published for Nordic regattas.
Nordic continuous
Our own modification — not official. Same Nordic tables, but age is interpolated between class starts so a 60-year-old and a 64-year-old no longer get the same time.
Exporting your results
After calculating handicaps, you can download the results as a Excel file by clicking the download button. This file can be imported into spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for further analysis or race planning.
Development status
The Rowing Race Calculator is under active development. We're continuously improving the tool based on user feedback and rowing community needs.
